And I hate to nitpick, but I will! :-) Just so that everyone understands,
"main" bearings usually refer to those in which the crankshaft runs. "Big
end" or even more obviously connecting rod bearings are the bearings for
the connecting rod (with big end often used to differentiate from the bush
used on the piston pin end of the rod).

That out of the way, the later 1300 engines use the same bearing sets and
connecting rods as do the "stroked" 1500 engines. Earlier 1300s (and the
dividing point is roughly 1970-71, between Mk3 and MkIV Spitfires, for
example) use the same bearings and rods as did the later 1200 (1147cc)
engines. I believe they also shared crankshafts.
