Bead blasting, more properly "glass bead blasting" employs very small glass beads or spheres. It is typically employed on softer metals (or other materials), is less aggressive than sand type blasting media and is often used as a decorative finish on stainless steel (produces a dull sheen). You can purchase 50 pound sacks at sand blasting supply sources but you will not like the cost. It is of very limited use in our hobby, LBC! Thank you, Karl J. Schmitt |
