Patrick,
1. Header parts can be ordered from "Headers by Ed" - individual tubes with
and without mandrel bends and 4 into 1 collector. I have always made my own
flanges so don't know if they are available. Stahl Headers have headers
available for spits - I have used them but they come in one length primary
tube only. Header size and length depends on many factors and I now build
my own to match my engine design. It takes time and tubes must be tig
welded to last.
2. Roll bars. SCCA has min cage requirements. Their min design however is
not very rigid. Tubing should be DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) or seamless.
Common size that stock cars use is 1 1/2 Dia. x 0.095 wall. SCCA
requirements for spits is smaller size but it will cost you more due to
uncommon size. Most speed shops have it or contact me and I can give you
some mail order places that ship ups - 8 ft. length is long enough to make
main hoop which is longest piece needed(ups will ship 8 ft lengths). Also
to bend the tubing you need mandrel bends - normal pipe benders will kink
the tubing.
