Hey all,
We are all supposed to know that if the IGN lamp lights up it means something
is wrong. It is also widely known that depending on whether it gets brighter
or dimmer in relation to the revs it means either alt. or batt. problems. But
I have run into a different problem; I got home at night, the car was running
fine, When I parked the car I wanted to wait for the end of the news on the
radio. I decided no point in wasting gas so I turned the key to off to kill
the engine, and then back to on, to give the radio power. I noticed that only
the oil light was on and not the IGN. light. When I turned the key to the off
position to investigate the IGN. light decided to shine on. I decided to
disconnect the battery and seek advice from the list.
To clear things up the problems are:
1. no IGN. light with key in on position.
2. IGN. light on with key in off or completely removed.
Strange huh? Any thoughts?
TIA
Avi
