Thanks, Richard. Appreciate the info. FYI, the side markers were NOT
required or present on '67 models sold in the U.S. I used to own one (it was
my first car that I purchased from my sister who was the original owner).

This is really fun. My sister was 20 years old when she bought her brand
new '67 Mk3 in 1967. I was 16 when I purchased it from her 9 years later.
I'm turning 40 next month -- my sister just turned 53 -- and she's just as
excited as I am about my purchase of another. The owner of the '67 RHD that
I've purchased replaced the original steering wheel with a smaller diameter
one, which I'm planning on using to great effect until I restore the
original. I can't wait to tool around with my 90lb Yellow Labrador
retriever sitting in the proper (U.S.) "driver's seat" and seeing what kind
of reaction it generates. I just hope the spectacle doesn't cause any
accidents! As for passing on the left -- I think I'll forego that maneuver
unless I have someone highly competent in the passenger seat. As much as I
love our family labrador, I don't think he's make a very wise choice for
navigator and/or co-pilot. Well, I suppose if someone is cooking hot dogs
somewhere, he might suffice as a navigator. I'll just follow his nose.

Cheers,

Jeff
