In case anyone is interested, I ordered one of these alts. from AutoZone
locally and the price (+core & tax) came to just over $85. Not as cheap as
a GM conversion, but still cheaper than the big three.
They (their computer) didn't recognize the number given, but they were able
to look it up according the the model. I was very suprised they even had a
listing for Spitfires.
