I replaced the seals from a kit but apparently it looks like they are too
small as they leak like crazy when I bleed the front. I had taken the old
seals out put them aside and then installed the new ones. I knew they would
be a bit smaller due to the swelling on the older ones. I never really did a
comparison as they looked like the right thing and the part nos. were
correct for my model year. They held fine when I was bleeding the rear, but
had not really the the pressure up due to all the air still in the front
calipers.

I have seen 2 sizes advertised 11/16" and 5/8" .

The old seals look like 11/16" and the new ones nearer 9/16" (both at the
narrower part.) I will be measuring the piston tonight. My car is a '76
1500.

Also my brake pistons won't come out as the park brake pivot lever is in the
way. Which again seems to confirm the fact that they have been changed as
they should not block the cylinder according to the Haynes manual. I have to
remove the complete assembly to get the pistons out.
