Hello listers!
I'm hoping that someone out there can help with my current Spit restoration
dilemma. At the advice of several people, I arranged to have my favorite
machine shop enlarge the center main oil gallery while doing other work on
the block. This requires that the bushing for the distributor / oil pump be
pressed out, which they did...in two pieces.
So....does anyone know where I can get one of these for a reasonable price?
It seems that Spitbits or Rimmer's can get them, but for around 50 bucks.
Doesn't that seem a little pricey? No one seems to have an extra just lying
around!!
Otherwise, the project is progressing nicely. I haven't attempted to remove
a part yet that resisted too badly. I have some help coming over in a
couple of weekends to help lift the body off of the frame. I suspect that
some of the suspension part may be more reluctant to come apart.
TIA!!
