Wow, and thank you.
Some of you listers like Greg, Ryan, Andy and others, should be
writing the
"North American Spitfire Story". Every book I have, (about 6 or 7) all give
the British
market view. Even Thomason's "Guide to Originality" seems to lack some North
American
details.
One final question - I assume from photos I've seen, that all MK IV's and
1500's had the
black vinyl cap on the top of the inner door panel. True? Mine's been lost in
restoration, but looks good painted body colour.
