My stepfather (who was an automotive engineer) could never understand the
allure of a Mercedes-called them "German Dodges"...glad he didn't live long
enough to see this!

(Dave hates 'em too-in fact, the only German auto he likes are the BMW 633
and 750!
Calls Porsches "Porschit" He restores them, but hates them.)
