Greg,

I don't know what the rest of the list think, but if you have an electric fan as
well as the standard fan fitted, and you're overheating at 65MPH, I'd suggest
that you have some problem other than a too-small radiator. Most overheating
problems occur when the car is stationary, or moving very slowly - i.e. when
there's not much air movement over the engine. Possibly there's some kind of
problem with an oil-way which causes the engine to get too hot at high revs?
This is just a theory, hopefully someone else with more knowledge will be able
to add to it. But for me, the fact that you're overheating at high speed and
not at low speed sets alarm bells ringing.

Good luck!

I was wondering what the measurements for both the narrow and full-width
radiators for the Mark Iv's were? I apparantly have the narrow radiator, a
seemingly original Stanpart unit that is 14"x11", and stock looking brackets
that attach it to the radiator ' U ' mount.

With no overdrive, at 65mph (4500rpm), 7500' elevation, and 95 deg temps
(not now, during the summer...) it is just on the verge of overheating, and
exhibits the usual stumbling, hesitancy, lack of power you get at that
point. An aside, it actually corresponds with the temp guage, which is
nice!!!
My 10" electric fan covers almost the whole front of it, and between
that and the regular fan, moves a tremendous amount of air, but I don't
think the volume of coolant in this small radiator is enough (under 1.5
gals.)

It appears that somewhere along the lines it may have received the
less-than-adequate radiator. Does anyone have the measurements by chance???

Thanks!!!!!
