I don't know who saw it or if anyone has seen it before, it's old.
Speedvision had Spitfires at LeMans on last night. It was from 1964 race and
Triumph had the factory team there running 4 GT's, David Hobbs was the
commentator for the Legends of Motor Sports and he actually drove one of the
factory cars in the race. Two of the Spits cracked up and I think 2
finished. Hobbs said that this was the last time he actually raced and
spent more time looking in the rear view mirror verses looking ahead. The
Spits averages around 94 MPH for the whole race, The winning Ferrari's
averaged around 134.
Not bad ! Hobbs did make an early comment about the Spits being "Girls
Sports Cars" What he doesn't understand is THAT'S just why I got MINE.
