Finally after 3 weeks of working on this, the problem has been solved. The fuel cutoff valve inside the carb(stromberg) was stuck CLOSED. A year ago it was stuck OPEN. Car starts without hesitation now. On a side note, I was spraying a part with some primer. Yet, it appeared to spray DUST. Nothing stuck on it. Is this just an old can?
