My Carb piston seems to be sticking for some reason, preventing a smooth idle and RPMs above about 3500. If I give it a little push upwards with a screwdriver it pops up and functions properly until I shut of the car. I looked for burrs etc. that it could be catching on but didnt find any. I've got 10w-40 in the dashpot and a stock needle. Also, has anyone seen improvements from a more "open" air filter, like those found on old V8's (Like a chevy)? Paul Grafelman 77 Spit "Altair" |
