There are only two. The fact that you found them in the pan is not good
however.
At best, they are worn and will drop out again. At worst, if the engine was
run
for any length of time without them in place, it is very likely that the
crankshaft
ran directly on the main bearing cap and both were scored. The generally
accepted cure for that is a replacement engine block.
