Spitshiners
I was very pleased to see a Spitfire get some press in the
Daily Mail (Thursday, June 17). Although very brief, the
article "A Triumph of car design" mentions that Doug Digby
(Brian Conley) of ITV's "The Grimleys" drives a red Spitfire.
I can't seem to get ITV to come in very well on my set over
here in the states. I was wondering; What vintage Spitfire
is it that Doug drives? Is the car a regular feature on
the show? The car in the newspaper is a Mk3 pictured with
Marla Leys. I have no idea who she is and it seems (to me)
that this is not the car appearing on the TV show.
