Hi Jay
One good book I have (But can't lend, sorry) is "The Triumph Spitfire"
by
Michael Cook by TAB Books, Blue Ridge Summit, PA
In it he says the 1963 Spitfire was $2199.00 US dollars. In 1964 it
was $2349
on the East Coast in either soft or hard top. The MK 3 in 1967 was introduced
at $2373.
By 1969 it was $2295. The MK IV of 1971 cost $2649. In 1974, the 1500 was
$33195. By
1977 the price had risen to $4500 (plus $240 for overdrive) and in 1978 it was
up to
$5150. He doesn't give 1980 price.
The 1967 GT6 price was $2995. The GT6 MK 3 in 1971 cost $3374 and by
1973 it
was at $3765.
Hope this helps, good luck
Cheers, Fred
