See www.vtr.org/maintain/thrust-washers.html for a procedure for checking the
thrust washer endfloat. This applies to a TR6, the concept should be the same
for a spittie. According to Haynes, the clearances are
1147 and 1296: .004-.008 inches or .10-.20mm
1493: .006-.014 inches or .152 to .255 mm
