Hi list. Tomorrow I pick up my "new" 1979 Spitfire 1500. I was talking to my
mother about it today and now she want's one too. She just loved my old '79
and hated it when I got rid of it. She wanted to find out the price range of
a good daily driver, year doesn't matter. I thought around $1500.00 to
$3000.00 for a mid to late 70's decent daily driver that looks good and runs
good. I told her I would check with the list and make sure. I also will be
getting a 76 Spitfire tub and frame probley next weekend and was wondering
how much money it would take to get it back on the road. It is a stripped out
tub, floorpans gone, body itself in very good shape with no major rust that I
could see. It basically needs everything. I figured it would make a good
project car for me and my son. He should be old enough to help by the time I
get to restoring it. My Sprite is first on the list. Anyway back to the
subject, my mom is not ready to buy right now, just feeling the market. I
think I gave her the fever, I've had it for a while and there is no cure for
me. :-) Thanks for listening.
