Don't buy anything!
Do you have a decent wrench or socket set?
Leave the gearbox in neutral, and put a wrench (or socket if you prefer) onto 
the nut securing the alternator pulley.
Then push down on the fan belt while moving the wrench to turn the alternator. 
With enough tension on the belt, the engine will turn as well.
It works well, one can easily turn the engine back and forth until you're 
satisfied you've got the valve in exactly the right position, and you can see 
the valves moving into where you want them.
