At the end of the summer, I will be putting my 74 Spitfire up for sale. It is
too unreliable and un-interstate-worthy for me to take to college, and my dad
already has an E-type to fix all the time. I am told I will get another car,
but it has to have been built in the 90s and cannot not need any work. I say
it has to be small, sporty, have a 5 speed, and will preferably have 2-3
doors. Civic Si hatchback, Civic Del Sol, Prelude Si, 200sx SE-R, etc.
Anyway, the Spit has to go, and I want to get as much money as possible. It
will have 4-5K miles on a rebuilt engine, 1 year old paint job (french blue,
w/ 2 white stripes), new but worn top, new but cheap interior, new door
handles, dash cover, door panels, alternator, rack bushings, tie rod ends,
rear u joints, rubber in engine, horn, trunk latch, clutch, and a lot of trim
pieces. Rebuilt Carb (ZS), brake system (all 4 wheels), clutch master cyl.,
and windshield washer sytem. I know I am forgetting a lot. It has a lot of
bondo under the new paint, and the frame has a few rust spots in the rear.
Any help for pricing or interest in purchase would be appreciated greatly.
