I understand from a fellow in GA. that you could run into problems if you
add a cam with stronger springs.
The stronger springs on the later models will wear the journals and once
worn you would need to dismantle the whole block and have the cam journals
bored.
On the early models all you needed to do was replace the bearings.
So all of you folks going to heavy springs watch your cam journals.

the early 1300 and 1200 blocks used cam bearings, the later
1300 and 1500 blocks did not. however, the cam bearings
from an earlier spit will fit into your block without
modification. then you will need to get a cam from an
earlier spit as the bearing journals will now be smaller.
