This may sound bizarre, but I had a similar problem last fall and it turned out that one of calipers up front had siezed, and the front brakes weren't really working at all. I'd press the pedal to the floor, and sometimes the car just wouldnt stop. I ended up rebuilding the front brakes, and everything is ok. One pad was worn down to the metal backing, and the rotor was ruined. It is probbaly not your problem, but you may want to look into it. Kris Powell |
