As far as #2 is concerned, I am pretty sure it is the U-joint. I had a similar problem with my car that I just had fixed. It started out much as you describe, and it progessed to where deceleration would cause the wheel to make a whumpa-whumpa-whumpa sound. Anyway, it sounds a lot like what happened with my car, and replacing the U joint fixed the problem. Kris Powell |
