Bill,
I had one of the Cannon manifolds for a short time and was very
dissatisfied with its design.  It may work well for track purposes when
the pedal is mostly to the metal.  But for street use it concerns me. 
Here's the problem:

The 4 tubes get routed together to match the Weber's 2 ports.  This
means that the outer ones end up being longer than the inside two.  The
result is too much fuel going to the inside cylinders of too little fuel
to the outside two.  In the "too rich" scenario, the inside cylinders
get "washed down" and the result is ring wear and a rebuild.

So If you do build a manifold for a single DCOE, be sure to take into
consideration the balance of the tubes.
