U joint circlips

Thanks to Ron, Joe and Patrick for your replies.
I have done this job a number of times on domestic
cars without a problem but it makes sense that the yoke
could have bent given the amount of beating it took
to remove the cups. I did notice today that the joints seem a little
freer
already
