headlight dimmer switch

hey, anyone know where i can get a steering column headlight dimmer
switch for a 1972 spitfire?  it seems as if they aren't made anymore,
but the turnsignal switches are.  why is that?  seems to me that if
the turn signal switches are available, the dimmer switch should be as
well.
