Hello again...
Thought I'd post my latest weber findings in case some were interested.
Today I bought and installed a "micron" fuel filter, which I was told
would vastly outperform my cheapo paper one. I hooked it up, ran fuel
through it and drained it through some napkins: no evidence of dirt.
I then totally rebuilt/cleaned the carb again (I rebuilt it about a
month ago while I was still completing my engine rebuild). I was
surpirsed to find dirt and very tiny metal chips inside the carb. I
got everything cleaned out and rebuilt.
I then hooked everything back up and started the car. It ran very
well-no fuel overload at idle. I also ran it real good for an hour and
took it on some extensive test drives... all with good results. I'm
hoping the combination of regulating the pressure and re-cleaning and
installing the micron filter will do the trick!
So far... So GOOD!
Thanks all,
