Something else to consider. If you're using something like Netscape for
your email and you allow "cookies" to be sent to your computer then the
site that you're logged onto can read the information for your computer. I
purposely don't inter any email info into Netscape settings and also don' t
allow cookes to be sent to my computer. The combination of doing the
above and also due to the particular email provider I use I recieve maybe
one or two spam emails in a bad week. Usually I can go weeks without
getting any spam mail.
I could be wrong on some of the above but thats how it was all explained to
me by an ISP provider once.
