Hi all, Terrick in the not-so-frozen Great White North here.
The bonspiel thaw saw me in my garage - the GT6 is in place, wheels off,
I'm doing bodywork, post crash. Said garage is 14x22, insulated R12, R20
roof, drywalled. Rear door, 9' standard, has 1.5" foam glued to it.
For you electrical engineers (or preferable, heating contractors), how many
BTU's do I need to force into that room to keep at at ambient outside plus,
say, 30 degrees?
In our last -28c with wind, that garage stayed at about -14. Oh, there are
also 2 single pane windows, about 24x36 (yes, bars in place).
I am contemplating electric heat for size reasons and am wondering how much
power to feed next spring. (And yes, I did visit ultimategarage.com and I
drooled).
TIA
Dave T
Surprised to be in a +65 garage when it is only in the '20's outside.
