I'm running 185/70/13's on TR7 steel wheels with the Spitfire center cap,
and TR7 30th anniversary edition trim rings. They look a lot like the 1976?
wheels with oval holes. No clearance problems with stock suspension.

Martin,
although my tires are 175R70-13's, I have to figure that you should be
ok with that size. I don't have any clearance problems and while the
185 is a bit wider, it's profile is smaller (60 series) so it should
compensate for the additional width. If you go that way, let me know
how it works out.
