Hello everyone,

After all the talk last week about the Monza exhausts and the associated
problems, I was looking through the VB catalog at the MK3 exhaust. It
looks like a fairly freeflowing system and has 1&1/2 diameter pipes. I'm
not sure of the diameter of the stock 1500 system but I was wondering if
anyone had switched back to this style and if it was a fairly freeflowing
system? I've heard so many bad things about the Monza that this system
looks pretty good to me for about half the cost. I also wanted some advice
on the weber conversion. I've heard almost all good about this swap except
from the guys at Motorhead who seem to feel that it is a big mistake. My
ZS is newly rebuilt (by me) and seems to work fairly well and I'm a little
hesitant to do away with the EGR valve which as I understand it the weber
has no provision for. From what I've heard the main advantage to the weber
is easier starting and somewhat greater acceleration. Does anyone have any
performance numbers on this. I know that speed costs but picking up half a
second 0-60 is not really worth 300-400 dollars to me. Any and all input
is as always greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
