Tom,

No problem - if enough of us get into this, then none of us will be outcasts
anymore!

"I believe this is the mod I remember seeing. Do you by any chance have
their
address???? If not, its not hard to build."

Their address is:

Concours West Industries,
306 Dwight Rd,
Castle Rock, WA 98611
(360) 274-3376

They have a catalog for $4.00 - worth the money even if you don't buy from
them. You need to get a subscription to Street Rodder Magazine. CWI is the
leader in this area, but there are other companies that make these units as
well, and they advertise in Street Rodder.

I say you need a subscription, rather than just reviewing a copy at the
newstand, because this magazine has a wealth of material that you can use on a
project such as this. Let's face it, you're building a Street Rod yourself -
you're just starting with a Spitfire, rather than a 32 Ford. They have a lot
of "how-to" fabrication articles, sometimes even articles on fabricating a
tube frame!

" On the 289 / 302, I have been lucky enough to drive (years ago) some of the
289
Cobras, have built a few 289's & love the way they act & the sound of a well
tuned
hi-po."

A guy showed up at a Brit car meet with a 302 powered TVR - I was hooked by
that sound! That's when I decided to go for the TR6/Ford 302 conversion.

"This means, if I get really
stupid, I may go looking for a good set of rebuildable Webers."

What about an Ingelese set-up? Or a home made set-up similar? Wow, talk about
"eye appeal!"

"Oops, I get carried away easily. Its bed time & now that I'm spun up, I'm
going
to go to bed & try to go to sleep...... Riiiiiiiight."

Yep, know that feeling all too well.
