If you get it figured out, I want to know too! I rebuilt the entire
suspension during the winter of '97-'98. Last summer I noticed a lot of noise
from the front suspension. I planned on putting in poly bushings this winter
because I want to auto-cross the car next year, but if there is something I'm
doing wrong or something I need to do to avoid the squeaky front end, I want
to do it!
Thanks,

Subject: Creaky Squeaky Spitfire
Hi Listers,
With the onset of the cold weather, my Spitfire's top has been up, and I've
noticed a lot of new noises.
Most prominent among them is a creaking noise seemingly coming from the
front suspension somewhere.
Before I pull apart all the nuts 'n' bolts for relubrication, can anyone
give me an idea of what to attack first? The front end was rebuilt last
winter with new ball joints and bushings (stock rubber type). Retorquing
the bolts has had no effect.
Thanks,
Atwell Haines
