My 1st car was a 67 Spit back in 67.  As I was a teenager, I kept the top down
most of the time.  When Clyde was parked, I had the toneau cover one him.  I
don't remember the interior getting wet when it rained.
I nolonger have the 67.  But I do have a 77 with the headrests in the seats, 
and the funny looking pumps in the toneau.  I have the top down and the toneau
on the car when it rained reciently.  After the rain, I went out to take her 
from a drive, and low and behold, I ended up with a pretty soggy fanny.
My question is, is this common place for the later Spits?  Has anyone tried
to do anything about the water pooling on the toneau?  I was thinking about
making a small wooden perch like device that I could stand on the armrest
and push up on the center of the toneau a little to try and help the water
run off.  Anyone played with this idea before?
