Took my baby out for a spin yesterday, and believe me, I don't drive
it hard. Okay, well, not THAT hard. Ugh, okay, I drive it hard!
Anyway, a guy comes out of a neighborhood in a Taurus Wagon. Yee-haw!
(Apologies to all you Tauri owners out there!)
He almost hits me, so I glare at him. He's in the typical 'driving my
boring sedan' zombie mode. So, as I'm tooling around on this nice and
curvy country road, I notice him creeping up behind me. Damn, I
think, I'll never be able to get away from this jerk, when we hit some
30-40 mph twisties.
Of course, I just floor it at take 'em at 70 mph. He actually slows
down form the curves. Next thing I know, I'm coming up FAST on a mini
van. Look out, soccer mom! Britiron coming through!
These things can be faster than you think! And, thinking back, I hope
he had his window down - I probably fumed him for 2-3 miles!!
Oh well - got to rush home today and put the Spit through some more
'howling' twisties. It was quite a rush sliding through that turn at
70 mph with all 4 wheels singing!
Triumph Spitfire - The most fun you can have under the posted speed
limit.
Cheers!
Chip - 2 Geo Metro's, 1 Mini Van, 1 Yugo and counting. Hey, is that a
VW Beetle coming up? Uh oh! :-)
