Replacing snaps.

Hi all,

I'm ready to replace several broken snaps on my soft top cover.  What's the
best way to remove the old ones and install the new ones?

ps.: I always thought the material dropping off the bottom of my LBC's was CFC
(cat fur conditioner); they lie on the carpet underneath the car and it 
dispenses
CFC onto their coats.
