Removing Hand Brake Hand Grip - SOLVED

To all,

Thanks for all the advice. Bob Harris came up with the suggestion of using a
crescent wrench below the grip (opened up to be narrower than the grip, but
wider than the hand brake lever) and hitting it with a hammer. This worked
like a champ!
