Joe,
I assume you are talking about after market anti squeal pads? There
are supposed to be anti squeal shims on a Spitfire,they get coated with
a special grease and fit between the piston and Brakepad.The new
brakepads I got from TRF came with 2 small tubes of grease.I would check
to see if these shims are on your car,if so,take them out and clean and
regrease them.(TRF also sells the grease seperately) Of course,if the
pads are worn or old I would replace them anyway.I do not believe in
"playing" with my brakes,For the low cost of parts,I want them to work
properly when I step on them.
