Perhaps the key is that yours was a single circuit M/C. I had to BB my
tandem M/C to get the firmness of the pedal up to snuff. I wish I had
spent the extra 15 minutes BEFORE I installed it back in the car!
I did NOT have to BB the clutch master cylinder when I rebuilt it.
As an aside, I had refinished my bulkhead with POR 15 epoxy paint while
everything was out. That stuff seemed impervious to the brake fluid
droppings. (Of course I wiped the spillage quickly.)
