Engine side plates

Hi,

I am planning to try and make aluminium side plates to replace the
cardboard ones that are origional equipment on the spitfire,
unfortunately the original parts are long since gone adn I don't know
what shape the new parts should be.

Being a Scotsman I don't want to have to buy cardboard ones just to copy
the pattern, can anybody help by giving me dimensions for a template or
telling me where to find one?
