Where does this wire go ??

Hi everybody,

I have recently bought a 1966 Mk2 Spitfire which had been previously
dismantled and I am in the process of reassembling.  The engine is now
in however I have discovered that the manifold is now rather difficult
to fit, but that's another story.

My question is that on the lead to the dynamo (yes dynamo) apart from
the two spade connectors there is an extra black sleeved wire about 8"
long which ends in a male bullet connector and I don't know where it's
supposed to go. Can any body help.
