That's right....mine uses the Spit tub & frame, and the GT6+ engine and
tranny. By the way....anybody need a Spit tranny (prob. needs rebuild) or
any internal pieces?
but aside from that the rear may be from a Spitfire as these are the

Mine uses the stock '74 Spit rear, and a custom driveshaft

Then I would just drop the GT6 engine/tranny in a Spitfire, swap

Which parts should be chnage din the front? Mine has the Spit springs and
shocks, which I will swap with GT6, and I will be swapping the rotors and
calipers with GT6 hardware soon. It sucks to have to literally STAND on
the brake pedal to slow the beast down, and it definitely isn't safe!
and change to the rear brakes from a swing axle

Are the drums/ wheel cylinders larger on the GT6?
Then aside from the bonnet and firewall mod's all you would have to

I am actually going to be using a Spit bonnet, and no, it won't clear the
valve cover and thermo housing, but I am going to be brazing the "power
bump" from a GT6 bonnet, and then cutting out the metal underneath. This
will make for a unique hybrid....

'74 Spit6+ in progress (sure, after I figure out why the starter won't
engage without the hazard switch on!)
