Harry,
A 225/55 isn't really "lower profile" in that the sidewall height is
just about the same as the 215/60. A 225/60 looks like a dune buggy
tire by comparison. They're very tall.
Just my $.02

Subject: [Shotimes] 225-60-16 OK?
I need to replace tires on my 1995 MTX. I like the Potenza RE750s it
had,
though the 215-60-16s are no longer availabe in that size, at least from
TireRack. They do have that tire in 225-60-16. I'm wondering if there
would
be any problems either with clearance or fit on the OEM slicer? I
realize
there might be some spedo error and less revs per mile, but that's OK.
I
know 225-55-16 would fit OK, but I'm not interested in going to lower
profile.
Thoughts on alternative tires welcome.
Harry
