Um. A mechanic with a calibrated gauge? I=E2=80=99m not thinking so. He (or s=
he) has got the one he bought from the Snap-On/Mac/Marco truck and when it g=
oes wonky on him, he buys a new one.=20

If your mechanic claims to have a calibrated gauge, ask where it was calibra=
ted and to see the cal cert traceable to NIST. And don=E2=80=99t hold your b=
reath.=20

One of our labs does calibration of the high pressure, fast response pressur=
e transducers they use. It=E2=80=99s a nontrivial operation.=20
