Out of curiosity, is this also required for built-in devices like 
built-in cooktops and in-wall ovens? I'm certain my in-wall oven and 
cooktop are hard-wired to their own junction boxes so I'm wondering if 
I'll need to do the same if I were to ever replace one of them...
