I ended up with WD-40 Degreaser; no rinsing required (the gate is in
dirt). Funny thing, rattle-can paint is about as scarce as toilet paper
for some reason; HomeDepot had been picked clean in spite of what their
website claimed and Lowe's wasn't much better but I found enough to do
the job (I hope). While I was looking at paint at both stores several
groups of people came in and bought a bunch of cans; has everybody
decided to re-paint everything while on 'lockdown?'
