Is the trailer relatively level? If the ball is far off the ground,
so that the trailer is angled up to reach the ball, that can be a
problem. Is the ball in a mount that slips into a receiver on the
vehicle? If it is, you can get ball mounts that have a rise or drop
to improve the angle.
