I have one of these:

Like the other wall-mounted units, it has a long skinny hose, so the
suction is a bit weak.
But it can easily be unhooked from the wall and carried to some other place
to be used.
Also, it has remote-control on/off buttons at the end of the hose, which is
very handy.
It is fairly quiet.
