Thanks Karl, Now you mention it I remember someone else commenting favourably on Dewalt blades in the past. Since the saw is a Dewalt I'll look into their blades as well. Glad to hear they can be used on roots. I've had some unhappy experiences with chainsaws and soil so that led to the question.
